WALTMAG Solar: A technology company in an increasingly technological world.
1. An energy provider through the supply and installation of pv solar systems across Australia. Our preferred system enables you to utilise up to 65% of the power you generate before sending the balance to the grid.
2. The development and sales of specialised cooling systems using its unique heat exchangers and thermoelectrics. Check out our wine cellar conditioning!
Thermoelectrics usage is dependent upon optimising all the available power of the chosen TEC module; where parasitic losses are kept to an absolute minimum. Years of research firstly undertaken by Hydrocool Pty Ltd (www.hydrocool.com) has evolved into the development of this unique company, Waltmag Pty Limited.
Fluid cooling is an accepted cooling mechanism for many electrical devices including computers. Waltmag has continued the development that Hydrocool began in 1992 and its heat exchanger technology is world class. However, there are often projects that require cooling but must meet a very tight budget position and where thermal resistance numbers are not high on the priority list. Thus a range of heat exchangers is a high priority in Waltmag's research. Ranging from just a few dollars to higher priced units are within our expertise.
Current research and development includes applications such as equine coolers, solar milk coolers, flat pack refrigerators and Cool Cupboards.
Our entry into the solar industry was through thermoelectrics using concentrated solar to create high quality heat for the generation of power using thermoelectrics but the rapid developments and the dramatic reduction on costs for photovoltaics ("PV") made the technology development redundant. With the cost of PV solar power generation below the retail price for electricity and still going down per watt of power produced, there is little reason why anyone considering electricity and a source plus cost of supply, should look past producing the power at the point of consumption, namely distributed solar.
Given our expertise in commercialising scientific discoveries over a wide array of industries, our clients are ensured a commitment to quality at competitive prices.
